First up, you’ll need to know exactly how much you donated to registered charities for each of the tax years you are reclaiming tax for. If you have not already claimed tax relief for those years, you can back-claim for up to the last 4 years of overpaid tax.
If you are reclaiming tax on donations of more than £8,000, you’ll need to provide a little more detail.
